NEWS BRIEF: Brazil’s TV Globo has picked up 40 half-hours of live-action kids series Kamen Rider Dragon Knight from Tokyo- and LA-based Adness Entertainment, slating it for a fall 2009 debut.
Kamen Rider is the US remake of Toei Company’s Kamen Rider Ryuki, which has been on the air since 1971. Adness has sold its show, which was completed last year, to broadcasters in the US and Mexico, and to a third-party distributor in Germany.

KidScreen – Adness inks South American broadcast deal
Adness Entertainment’s live-action series Kamen Rider Dragon Knight will be making its debut in Brazil, thanks to a new deal with TV Globo.
The Brazilian broadcaster has signed on to air the HD/CGI series this fall, which revolves around teen Kit Taylor as he transformers into the Kamen Rider warrior to battle evil and search for his missing father. Toei Company’s original Japanese series Kamen Rider has been successfully running in the country for 37 years.
